The Cold Waves are a four-piece post-punk band from Manchester, UK. Formed in 2020 during lockdown, the band channels the spirit of Joy Division, Bauhaus, and Siouxsie and the Banshees into a modern sonic palette. Their angular guitar work, driving basslines, and atmospheric synths have made them fixtures of the UK's underground post-punk revival. Their debut album 'Grey Architecture' received widespread critical acclaim and led to support slots with Fontaines D.C. and Idles. The band consists of Jamie Hall (vocals/guitar), Priya Sharma (bass), Tom Welsh (drums), and Kat Osei (synths/keys).
